Navneet Kaur Virk is a qualified CA with a passion for photography. Over the years, she has added to her knowledge on various genres of professional photography.
She has completed a certification course in ‘Still Photography’ and ‘Visual Story Telling’ from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, India.
Her interest and expertise are in documentary, street photography, candid, portraits, flora and fauna. She likes to interact with people and capture their lives’ various expressions true to the struggle, happiness, or just infinity. Her genuine approach to people gives the comfort level to others to get clicked (candid or posed). So far she has photographed various expressions and portraits of people from different walks of life.
She has captured the social movements of general people and more recently has covered Farmers protest and life of Gadia Lohars in an urban set-up.
Presently she is working on a project to capture the life and contribution of waste workers in the waste management system of the cities.
Besides her interest in photography, she is also a budding poet and writer to explore the power of words along with the pictures she clicks.
Her work has been recognized by a few magazines and her photographs got selected & displayed at various exhibitions. She has been awarded for documenting the “Contribution of Waste Workers in the Waste Management of Cities” and exhibited at “Museo Camera” – Gurgaon.
